How to quit smoking using EFT (Emotional Technique Freedom)

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is simply the fastest and most effective faced with doubts, obstacles, triggers, cravings, concerns and emotions that most people who quit smoking have to deal with. Not only EFT can help make the transition to non-smoker easier, it better team ex-smokers to deal with any stressful situations which may cause a relapse.

EFT was founded by Gary Craig, an engineer from Stanford, Ordained Minister and Personal Performance Coach. You can download a free how-to manual from its website (www.emofree.com). EFT is simply emotional acupuncture without needles. Our body consists of energy subtle. When negative emotions are present, it is simply a disruption of the bodies energy. With EFT, you stimulate certain meridian points by tapping on them, and it tends to balance the energy flow in our body. EFT is simple to learn, gentle and easy to use, can be used anywhere, take a few minutes, so it has excellent results.

Here are the basic steps EFT to stop smoking
1. Note any doubts, triggers, emotions, challenges and your concerns about quitting smoking? (I doubt I can quit or quitting is too stressful)

2. Assess the intensity level of each issue or emotion on a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being the highest). (Doubt - 8 Stress - 7)

3. Establish the affirmation and reminder phrase beginning with the question most intense first.

Affirmation - Although I doubt I can quit smoking, I deeply and completely accept myself, or even if I think quitting smoking is too stressful, I deeply and completely accept myself.
Reminder phrase - my doubts about quitting and feelings of stress to stop smoking.

4. Start tapping gently on the following points on a meridian side of your body using your index and middle fingers of each hand while you talk about the sentences aloud. (To see a map of the points go to plays www.mindbodytapping.com)

  • Karate Chop - "Although I doubt I can quit smoking, I deeply and completely accept." (Repeat 3 times).

  • Side of the eye - "I doubt I can quit smoking"
  • Below the eye - "My doubts about quitting smoking"
  • Sub nose - "Doubt I can quit smoking"
  • Middle of the chin - "All other things I tried did not work"
  • Under the clavicle - "I just really doubt be able to stop smoking"
  • Under the armpit - "my doubts about quit "
  • Crown - "Doubt I can quit smoking"

    5. Take a deep breath.

    6. Re-evaluate the intensity level of the item using a scale of 1 to 10.

    7. Press a second round (Continue typing as many rounds as you need to reduce the intensity level of the item below a 3).

    8. Skip to the next or emotion Starting evaluation question No. 2.

    9. Once you have removed all your doubts, fears, concerns, obstacles, you're ready to quit. 10. For weeks, use EFT at least three times a day to deal with any emotion, or questions that arise.
