What do you think of the ban on cigarette displays? Is there an effective way to reduce smoking?
Ontario and Quebec are the last provinces to join the list of Canadian courts to ban cigarette displays in order to prevent young lighting up. I think it is AA waste of money for the stores having to buy these blankets. If people want to smoke, they will be and I think there is way too much hype on smoking. What happened to freedom of choice and freedom of rights. the gov't dictates where you can smoke, but has no problem taking the money they make off of cigarettes. If you take 20 people and put them in a garage where everyone smokes they would all come out ok, but if you took 20 people and put them in a garage and a car started it would be released then I think the Govt should be thinking about the effects of vehicle pollution and toxins that came from cars more than they should think about smoking. There are a lot more trouble in this world so people smoked LED displays. What Is all the soldiers fighting on the seas for our country, and natural disasters that hit in the States and on the seas and what about people who are still suffering the effects Katrina, I am sure they are not worried about whether or not children see smoke exposure, they wonder when they will have a house then perhaps the govt should think about these larger issues Thanks Jo
