Has anyone here used to stop smoking using Chantix? If yes, how did it work for you?
My husband and I just received the prescriptions for smoking cessation drug Chantix. I was wondering if anyone here has tried this drug, and if so, how it worked for them. Weird side effects, sleep disturbances, mood swings, etc.?
Quitting smoking is never easy, but I managed to do so with Chantix. The biggest side effect I experienced was restless dreams ... not nightmares mind you, just very vivid dreams. Take the med for about a week to ten days before quitting, and two or three days are hard, there is no way around that. But two or three days of rough diamonds being is much easier than the weeks and weeks I went through before trying to quit smoking with nicotine replacement. I highly recommend Chantix.
