Quit Smoking Lungs Recovery
lung recovery after quitting?

I stopped smoking 3 months ago. I was a heavy smoker for 13 years ....* sigh *. I'm 30 now and involved in a sport that requires major cardio. I'm much better at first, but I still struggling to breathe. If / when my lungs heal or improve, how long will it take?

It will take some time for them to heal, from 1 to 5, but even then they might not be completely OK. I stopped smoking six months ago but I was a smoker for 5 years only. The thing that bothers me the most was that every time I practiced I felt like the air I breathed in through my burned and lungs. My doctor explained that, in no uncertain terms, your body isn `t get so used to fresh air and oxygen. I also found that long walks in parks or nature to help breathe much. http://www.dukemednews.org/news/article.php?id=7644 http://www.cancer http://www.usatoday.com/news/health/2005-04-06-smokers_x.htm. org/docroot/FPS/content/FPS_1_Former_Smoker_Finds_A_New_Voice.asp?
