SMOKERS who want to quit the habit are being invited to an information session in Shildon.

a health promotion and stop smoking event takes place at Shildon Library on Monday, November 21, from 10am to noon for those who are unsure how to go about quitting smoking.

Anglea Quinn, who is a health trainer at the Pioneering Care Partnership, in Newton Aycliffe, will be on hand to offer support, advice, provide information and tips to help people get started and manage cravings.

She said: "Quitting isn't easy, but when you see the drastic improvements to your life and health, you'll want to set your action plan going as quickly as you can."
