The current U.S. system of social protection needs a complete overhaul, not only provide better programs for those who really need it, but to help fill some gaps that currently ravaging the program. Most Americans, even those on welfare or living below the poverty line are still better off compared to those of many other countries. However, in continuing to provide welfare without restriction to certain citizens, the government has been handicapping some of the beneficiaries social assistance in continuing to provide all their needs, without ever trying to help them improve their skills to find jobs in the future.

To achieve these objectives to take care of his people, the U.S. federal government has instituted numerous programs to implement policies to achieve the highest welfare for all legal residents. The American system of welfare is one of the best social program in the United States to provide the necessities for those unable to work and earn income to finance their welfare.

The United States plans welfare was introduced after the Great Depression of the 1930s. The Social Security Administration website is that beginning in 1932, the federal government, the first loans, and grants to States to pay for direct assistance and relief job. After that, special federal relief and public works programs were launched. In 1935, President Franklin D. Roosevelt proposed legislation to Congress economic security embodying the recommendations of a commission established safety economy. There followed the adoption of the Law on Social Security, enacted August 14, 1935.

However, the current system of social protection has no limit how long someone can continue to receive welfare benefits.

In some European countries like Denmark, the government provides its citizens with government grants of revenue, they have an incentive program that encourages citizens to work or do anything that may generate income for their households. In the United States is different. Provided that one is unemployed and has a reasonable excuse to convince officials welfare, then he or she is perfectly safe and have access to government-sponsored (section eight) homes without ever having to worry about to pay rent.

Therefore, if the Welfare-to-work program is reformed to equally and effectively meet the needs of both government Federal, state, and welfare recipients, it will help more welfare recipients to find jobs, which will help them become more productive and contribute to increasing GDP. Part of the money spent in the program can be used for other social programs.

Reforming the welfare system was a topic that has been discussed by many experts over the years, but the set yields, little action. Even during our presidential candidates, John McCain, Clinton and Obama rarely speaks of his subject. But it is one of many problems that need immediate attention.

It raises not just a compliment for those who get up every morning to go to work, just to help finance the welfare system for those who simply chose not to work because they simply do not want to work for as long as the protection system for their financial well-being.
