
What the Bible and the Koran say about the shadow?
The Shadow in the Bible:
The Lord has a shadow, his hand a shadow, its wings have the shadow, and it does not change like moving shadows
Psalm 91:1
He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High, you rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
Isaiah 49:2
In the shadow of his hand he hid me;

I put my words in your mouth and covered you with the shadow of my hand

The shadow of death
The Bible says that death has shadow and there is the valley of the shadow of death and the land of the shadow of death.
Job 38:17
Have the gates of death been shown to you? Have you seen the gates of the shadow of death?
Psalm 23:4
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil for thou art with me Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Isaiah 9:2
The people walking in darkness have seen a great light on those who live in the land of the shadow of death a light has lifted.

The Evening Shadows
Job 7:2

The shadow Deep
Job 10:21

2 Kings 20:9

The Shadow in the Qur'an:
Two historical Shadows
The Qur'an mentions two historical shadows important one of them is the shadow for Moses and the Israelites and the other is the shadow for the people of the Prophet "Shu'aib" and terrible day of punishment.
These two events are not in the Bible.
The Shadow for Moses and the Israelites
Israelites
Sura 28:24
So he (Moses) watered (their flocks) for them. Then he returned to the shade and said: My Lord! I am in need, whatever good you send down to me.
Surah 7:160
We divided into twelve tribes, nations, and we inspired Moses, when his people asked him for water, saying, strike with thy staff the rock! and springs which twelve springs so that each tribe knew its drinking. And we made the white cloud to overshadow and sent down to them manna and quails (saying): Eat of the good things with which we have provided you. they have done no wrong, but they had a habit of hurting themselves.
Surah 7:171
and when we shook the mountain over them as if they were overload of coverage, and they thought it would fall upon them take control of what we have given you with firmness, and be attentive to what is in him, that keeps you in May (against evil)
Surah 2:57
And We gave you the shade of clouds and sent down to you manna and quails, saying: "Eat of the good things We have provided you" (but they rebelled); To us, they do no harm but they harmed themselves.
The Shadow catering for people of the Prophet "Shu'aib" which is denied and terrible day of punishment. The Prophet "Shu'aib" is never mentioned in the Bible. Is it because he was Arab?
Surat 26:189
But they have rejected and denied him (Shu'aib) and called him a liar (Shu'aib) then the punishment on the day of the Shadow grasped, surely it was the retribution of an awful day
Some facts about the Shadow:
Allah extends the shade, if he likes, he would certainly have made the stop, then made the sun its guide. Scientifically speaking, the shadow will be stationary when the Earth stops its circular motion around us. In this case, half of the Earth will be the day and the other will be the night.
Thus, the sun is the indicator for such an event. Who could do this? Allah is the Creator of the sun.
Sura 25:45
Have you not considered (the work of) your Lord, how He extends the shade? And if it rained it would certainly make it stationary, then we have made the sun its guide;
All things that God has created have their shadows and prostrate to Him.
Sura 16:48
Have they not observed all things that Allah created, how their shadows incline to the right and left, prostrating to Allah, and they are humble?
Sura 16:81
it is Allah has created the things he has created, some things to give you the shade of the hills, he made some for your home, it makes you clothing to protect against heat, coats of mail to protect you from your (mutual) violence. is as complete its favors on you, so you may bow to his will (in Islam).
Sura 35:21
19 and the blind and the seeing are not alike
20, or darkness and light,
21, nor the shadow of equality with all the warmth of the sun;
The Shadow, the Day of Reckoning
When this terrible day, everything has been tried in the courts.
The man is one of the two, believing or unbeliever, everyone has his own shadow.
The Coming of Allah
Surah 2:210
Are they waiting for anything other than God comes them in the shade of clouds with the angels? Then the case would be already judged. All cases go back to Allah (stop).
The Shadow for those who believe that meaning is not mentioned in the Bible.
Surah 4:57
And those who believe and do good , We shall admit them into Gardens underneath which rivers flow - to dwell forever there for them are pure companions - and we will come under the shadow abundance.
Sura 36:56
They and their associates will be in pleasant shade, reclining on thrones (of dignity);
Sura 76:14
And the shadows of the garden () will come low over them, and bunches (of fruit), then hang low in humility (being easy to achieve).
Sura 56:30
In an extended shade,

as to the righteous, they will be amidst (cool) shades and springs (of water).
The shade for those who do not believe this involvement is not mentioned in the Bible

And shadow of black smoke
Surah 77: 28-31
28 Woe Ah, that day, lies the truth!
29 (it will be said:) "Do you go that you treat then lie!
30 "Ye to depart from the shadow (smoke of Hell) in three parts,
31 "(giving) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the flame.
32 In fact, he throws about sparks (huge) as palaces,
Sura 56:43
And shadow of black smoke
The following verse summarizes the shadows to believers and unbelievers.
Sura 13:35
a river in the likeness the garden which the righteous are promised: it is now below its food and shades are perpetual, which is the end of those who guarded (against evil), and reward of disbelievers is the Fire
