Help me not get screwed by car dealer !!!!!?
I'm an idiot and signed the contract but slipped into my seller 6k shadow value of collateral. The funny thing is he forgot to ask for proof of residence, they have been calling me non stop get it. I called the bank that is financing and they have no record of me and said they would not fund a loan without proof of residence. I went there today and had an altercation with the seller and he said if I'm going to be so he can find another bank that would do credit to the contract without proof of residency. Since the contract has not technically been honored by a bank, is there a law or something that I can renegotiate my contract? Is it blowing smoke another bank seeking the contract without proof of residency? (I recently moved and address license is different from current address) Please any info, I implore you:. You are in possession of a vehicle for which you have not paid. The dealer wins, report it by yourself as a car thief. Go in with an adult quiet, and the contract re-written, if you believe he was dragged "into" But you signed it. It can store around the contract of a group of different banks, some of which might not offer the same interest rate, and is legal. As long as you have the car, they have legal grounds to arrest you. Period. Take the car, they tear up the contract in your presence, and go elsewhere. If it was more than three working days, though, you may be stuck paying the contract you signed - not the original or the bank has approved it.
